School Revolving Renovation Fund Referendum

Question 1: Do you favor authorizing the board of directors of School Administrative District No. 75 (the “District”) to issue bonds and notes and other evidences of indebtedness in the name of the District in an amount not to exceed $102,100 through the State of Maine’s zero interest rate/loan forgiveness School Revolving Renovation Fund (SRRF) Program for installation of a fully accessible ADA-compliance restroom at Bowdoin Central School (the “Project”)?
The following Project information is provided as part of this Question 1:
- Project Explanation: The Project involves renovation a storage space at Bowdoin Central School into a filly accessible restroom that is compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Project will enable the District to provide private, functional and safe restroom facilities for special education students with complex needs.
- Financing Explanation: The Project costs up to a maximum of $102,100 have been approved for funding through Maine’s zero interest rate/loan forgiveness SRRF Program. Of this amount, the district will receiving 54.24% (up to $55,379) that will be forgiven, and 45.76% (up to $46,721) that the District will repay at zero interest (0%) over a ter of five years.

Region 10 Referendum

Question 1: Do you favor authorizing the Cooperative Board of Maine Region 10 Technical High School (“Region 10”) to issue bonds and other evidences of indebtedness in the name of Region 10 in an amount not to exceed $115,772 through the State of Maine’s zero interest rate/loan forgiveness School Revolving Renovation Fund (SRRF) Program for life safety improvements to the Region 10 school building, including upgrades to the fire alarm system and control panel as well as security improvements at the main entrance to the school (the “Project”)?
- Project Explanation: The Project involves life safety improvements, including upgrades to the school’s fire alarm system and replacement of the fire alarm control panel. The Project also includes security upgrades at the main entrance that will allow school staff to communicate with visitors without them entering the building.
- Financing Explanation: The Project costs up to a maximum of $115,772 have been approved for funding through Maine’s zero interest rate/loan forgiveness SRRF Program. Of this amount, Region 10 will receive 45.73% (up to $52,943) that will be forgiven, and 54.27% (up to $62,829) that Region 10 will repay at zero interest (0%) over a term of five years.
